"Com a preparação de sempre, e já que sou um tipo que até gosta da montanha, decidi incluir no programa de festas de 2010 uns trail’s! Nada melhor do que começar na envolvente da estrada onde fiz alguns treinos para a maratona: Caminhos da Serra de Sicó!
A partida foi feita com muita vontade de fazer o aquecimento (como estava frio ficou para a prova). Após passar por dentro das Ruínas de Conímbriga em formato de aquecimento, descemos até ao rio para iniciar uma subidinha até aos 4km. Corte à esquerda e toca de descer para ter o direito a um copo de água. Voltamos a subir para chegar ao mesmo caminho e continuar a subir até aos 7 km!! (Nota: Aqui comecei a perceber o nome Trail....)
Como já conhecia parte do percurso das minhas caminhadas já estava à espera de sofrer com as subidas, mas não estava era à espera disto:
Por volta dos 10 km uiiiii... aparece a chuva e o frio … como decidi fazer a prova tipo Rambo só com uma camisoa de cavas (a GRANDE camisola do meu CAO!!!) fiquei cheio de frio … sorte: o Sol voltou para ficar até ao fim!!!
Depois a história é simples, correr, subir e descer, passar pelas Buracas de Casmilo (simplesmente BRUTAL), correr, subir e descer e fazer amigos… aos 17 km íamos um grande e magnífico grupo de 3 (Macedo do PortoRunners, o Vítor que este ano só vai fazer uma prova de 160 km e eu) constatando que todos temos o melhor tempo da Meia em Viana e com tempos similares!
Pelo 18 km e a sentir-me bem ataquei fortemente (leia-se corri um pouco, tipo a 8’/km) na subida para deixar os novos amigos e fazer a prova a desfrutar das vistas até final ... e que vistas ... No final alguma dor nos joelhos dado o grau das descidas e a loucura de descer a correr naqueles caminhos!!
Resumidamente: 2h37m de pura diversão incluindo belas caminhadas nas subidas mais íngremes, uma boa dose de loucura nas descidas e grandes paisagens para mais tarde recordar!

Quanto à organização: Acho que os organizadores das provas de estrada deviam ver para aprender: Percurso com os km certos; abastecimentos com fruta, água e queijo! Sim queijo do Rabaçal!; Apoio de elementos da organização; percurso super bem sinalizado e saco com queijo e vinho! Apenas uma nota negativa para a água em garrafas (devia ser sempre em copos) que alguns “atletas” deixaram pelo caminho … é triste mas nem todos sabem correr!
Próxima no programa de festas [transestrela] ... ou não! Basicamente fica aqui o convite para 2011, pois já é hora de eu ir dormir!"
